View Full Version : MK2 180 for sale
Looking to sell my car: December 2004 (54 plate) Starlight Silver MK2 ZS 180
It currently has a damaged bonnet and roof/door due to a roof tile falling on it. George is sending me a new door and bonnet and it will get a once over from my bodyshop so it will soon be back to its pristine condition :)
I am after £1500. Price doesn't include reg number.
Good points:
39k miles
Looks great
Immaculate interior
Catch tank
VIS indicator lights
Tax until August 2012
MOT until December 2012
Bad points:
Not had belts done
Dreadnought and everyone else say it is perfect, but I believe it's down on power. It runs fine, but I am convinced it's slow.
Could use new brakes I think at some point in next year
Pics:
Mine on left. It now has the black bib though.

Video:
I had a terrible cold, hence the weird noises :D

Added the price now lol :)
Thats a bargain once again! Keeping the plate or managed to get a sale for it?

Had an offer of £500 from a company, but couldn't let it go for that. I'd sell it at £1k I reckon though. I do like it mind you, looks great on the car, makes such a difference to it.
Somebody will buy it. Good luck with the sale mate, what's next for motoring?
I reckon I might go for another MG Smokey.
First time that video of mine has been aired btw :)
It was like a teaser trailer!
Hopefully you'll enjoy another one. ZS again, bigger, smaller, or a MG6?

Not quite sure at the moment. I don't want to spend any money, so maybe just something the same but different :)

Sounds like you were sad to see it drive away on that video! lol
Best of like with the sale mate certainly seems a bargain.
That numberplate is awesome, what ever you buy next has to be a V6 just so you can keep the plate!

Bargain price for a cherrished ZS. Nor why not wait till new parts from George are fitted, then see how you feel about it ?
Or do you just feel like it's time for a change ?
Good luck with the sale though, dont imagine it will take too long to shift.
If only it wasn't a plane ride from me :( got any pics of the damage ?

Get some money from Southerners to change your Blue ZS into a southern track car - (I'm in for a start as Andy's not interested in coming in with me at the moment and I'm not gonna do it on my own).
Few of us - £X each in the pot - you then take that money and buy this .... Best of both !
Come on .... You know it makes sense .... I'm in - Pete will be - ........

I'm not suggesting that you sell it !
What I'm suggesting is that some members chip in for a part of it - you retain possession of the car. All it means is that maybe a few times a year we meet up at a track and take it round .... Not kill or abuse it .... Enjoy it !
And - you put the raised cash into a standard one for to and from work - going out with the Mrs or whatever .....

I see what you are saying but doubt if anyone would buy into something like this, could be a way of destroying friendships and trust if something were to go wrong. If I ever won the lottery I would give the zed to the forum! :cool2:

I think I'm ready for a change. Not ready to move away from MG though :)
What I am going to do though is pay one last visit to Dreadnought.

Swap the bro-in-law's hatch for Lukes black saloon - you have Luke's as a replacement for this one - when this sells - give the cash to your bro. Everyone's happy.
Just a thought ....
Thstd s good option...or is Nor planning on getting an MG6 or better...an SV?!?!
