I have heard there are less-then-legal ways to find a owner's address from a car reg plate, no chance of tracing it through who you sold it to?

hope you find it mate. i sold my TY ZS a few years ago and missed it like hell, then it turned up on here Baz69 had it and about 18months ago i bought it back from him. what a great day that was and what i brilliant drive home i had from his house back to carlisle.

i was reading this yesterday and i tied to do a check on it but all i can find out is that its still taxed and insured but couldnt get an address, if you decide to apply to the dvla for the details you have to show just cause for the request ie you work for a ticketing office or an official clamping company they wont give it to a member of the public wether you have paid for it or not, soory i couldnt be of any further help for you, saying that i know a copper who is a very good friend of mine so i will see if he may do a pnc check on it he could get the sack for this so he might not do it but i will ask for you
