It's the brown ish wood trim, I think for me it's the fact that I cannot stand the flat carbon stuff that really needed lacquer at the factory!

Either way, still got it for a great price tbh

Get the wood trim wrapped in carbon vinyl and then stick it on. Thats what i'd do anyway. but its your car.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to wood, it makes it a Rover 45!!! Wrap the trim in a brighter finish or paint it TB........... You will be putting the chrome strips on the bumper and number plate holder next!!!

hell NO.

Carbon skinned would be nice not just the wrap.

My Dad has a Rover 45 and he jokes around saying why not have his one,Nope not a chance because of the wood trim fine for him being old but not for me.

If you do put it in remember your pipe and slippers lol

PMSL @ this

Looks like my "wisdom" wasn't best served, on another note learnt how it all comes apart and that's worth the time, the door cards are MUCH better than the ones in Bluey, so a bonus I suppose....

Might see if new owner wants wood interior ??

I HATE the shitty carbon in the Typhoon though, why oh why did they not laquer it like the xpower grey, green, trophy blue, yellow I can't understand...

I'm not a fan of the fake Carbon Fiber but fake wood is far worse ;) I got some Xpg inserts of ebay that I might get round to fitting one day !!

Having an early pre-project-drive ZS I have the trims at the tops of the door cards which is much nicer than the later cars without. Not being a monogram car mine are grey which again I prefer, TY car with TY interior is tacky IMHO, especially when old.

It isn't difficult to remove the trim from the door cards and spray them, I got a 400ml rattle can of the correct paint mixed up at a local paint specialist for about £11 for my climate control project. You'll also need lacqure which was another £5.

On Rovers its not fake..........The trim in my 214's was always real wood.

I'd get some real carbon weave and lay it on top, few clear coats would look the business. Not a fan of the fake carbon.

You know my opinion on this as I was with you taking the bits out, not my taste at all lol. If I was to do it which I never would I would choose the 2003-2004 Rover 45 wood grain instead of the older stuff!

How about - fit the wood to the old ZS if the new owner is happy with that, remove the 'Rhodium' inserts and fit to the monogram car.

Or when the bumpers are in for painting go all out and ask them to colour code all the trims (going to be costly though)!

decided NOT to do the wood trim, will see if new owner of Bluey wants it or it's off to ebay, as said either way got for a great price and the cards are mint, no lifting of the material

DID see a honda civic yesterday which had very dark oak, looked nice
