forsale my mg zs 180

yellow

light modifications

17" bk229 in chrome

renault laguna splitter

chrome custom intake

engine cover sprayed to match the car

i believe its done about 70K will check once the battery has charged

car is very clean

car has no tax or mot as the gearbox input shaft bearings went on first inspection i thought it was just the drive shaft so that was replaced to only find that the bearings had gone i was gonna just replace the gearbox as can pick a second hand one up 4 £100 as would of been easier but my partners head gasket went and that was are daily car so took priority and the funds i had set aside to fix my zs.

I AM NOW FORCED 2 SELL THE CAR DUE TO FAMILY EMERGENCY AS IT STANDS

the rest of the car i cant fault i fitted a new clutch master and slave and bracket recently

the car starts first time evrything works as it should air con could do with a re gas

kicks in at 3k like it should

IM AFTER £500 for the car as it stands no silly offers please as i previously said i didnt wanna sell just said i would 2 keep my partner off my back but due 2 a family emergency i need the funds

With the gear box and no Mot its worth more to you than any one elts.

Just my opinion.

And with the box and mot done maybe 7 a bit more to the right buyer.

personally i'd get it mot'd and fix the gearbox without that it's worthless really put it up for 700 maybe get 550 for it in current state, i want a yellow saloon but cash and garage space aren't available to me yet.

Nice looking car.
Good condition.
Below average mileage for age.
MOT.
Worth £750 anyday and could go for upto £1000 on a good day.

Nice looking car.
but
Needs new gearbox.
Unknown mileage.
No MOT.
Worth £300 or £400 to someone who will proberbly break it.

Is the car costing you anything?
Will you fit the box?
Can you afford to not save for the gearbox?
Even if you then sell it?

If you can do the gearbox swap yourself I'd go for that. MoT and get around a £1000. on a good day.

If you have to pay for someone else to do it, I'd sell it as spares or repairs, should get £500 +.

Could always ask Rovermgparts or GeA Services on here, what they would give you. Depends where you live.

Best of luck. looks too good a colour and spec, to break.

Thanks everyone the thing is i love the car has got 2 b 1 of the best cars I have ever owned and personally I don't wanna sell but it's that or a divorce lol I can fit the gearbox myself have been offered a few for about £60-80 mileage dependent. I really don't wanna break as is far 2 nice for that. And everything else is fine and works as it should, but I know if I fix it I'll wanna keep !!

A man has to have a hobby, if you can afford the ZS as your hobby there is your answer.

My first wife didn't appriciate that and it was a car that split us up, that was a blessing in disguse, Mrs TC loves cars and will encourge me to spend time on them, as long as I do DIY and look after hers.

If the cars worth more to you than what your being offered then i think you only have one option. Keep it. Fix it up and keep having fun in it.

I have been offered £400 by traders and that's with me keeping the wheels and swapping with straights plus cash my way so will make the £500 but would rather sell as it is 2 save hastle

It's a buyers market for the ZS at the mo. Such a shame.

I would buy it if I had the space as I want a ZS again as a track car but I have a damaged Skyline taking up all the space on my drive at the mo!!

I recon any motor with a years mot in decent nick is worth at least £1000, so of you price it back from that with what it needs I think you get a fairly good idea what its worth, obviosly you will get cars for less if someones in a rush to sell ect,

You would think. I sold mine with exactly 1 years MOT with no advisories, no dents or scratches, and about 3 thousand miles on new belts, with sheddist, decat etc and struggled to get £900.
