That looks pretty tidy, nice interior, I like the T16 plate as well.

Unusual place for the central lock button ?

Hang on a minute, is it me or does that description say that that car is actually a 420 with a ZS kit?

I never bothered to read the description:)

If he paid that much for his T16 plate he's well and truly had his trousers taken down.

Im going to go and have a look at this over the weekend hopefully. Its 5 mins away from me. Looks decent from the pics but no doubt has many hidden secrets.
Looks like its still on standard shocks and 400 lowering springs thats why the rears high. looks like its got vented 262's on the front also will be using the 420 steering rack roll bars ect ect. So it will probably handle nothing like a zs.
Il give you all the info as soon as ive seen it. Im tempted by it as i only do low mileage per year but id probably be better off with a decent 180 depending on the price hes after.

He doesn't mention anything about swapping any of the suspension off the zs that provided the kit and interior.

At the right price it's probably a good buy.

Yer I noticed that not a ZS at all.

It's registered as a 99 420.

Cant help but think it would have been easier to swap the engine into the zs shell seems alot of work swapping all the body parts and a full respray.

I agree, it seems an odd way to do it, especially as he bought the 420 shell as an unfinished project.

The way I read it was that he'd done the T16 conversion when he decided to do the body kit.

This way should help keep car tax down.

Lol an old T plate.

What's it worth then ?

Personally, Id have been more tempted if it had just stayed as an apparently old knackered Rover .... sleeper style like the green one Bandit was selling a while back.

1250 for a respray seems cheap.......

Looks ok

What it's worth is a good question, if you valued it as a 99 420, not much would be my guess.

If cheap enough, would be a good way of converting a trophy blue mk1 180 to a mk2 180 without the huge cost of spraying parts?

Well ive tried to go and look at the car over the weekend and he's away in London till Tuesday apparently. Says it all really. Obviously has something to hide.

You think Jay !

I don't think he's hiding anything as such, but it's a V plate 420 made into a mk2 zs lookalike, so while it looks like a zed it'll drive like a 420, and if you've driven both the difference between them is Chalk and Cheese.

so anyone who is interested has one day/night to look at the car. not ideal when there's so many things to check out with a car like this.

Looks awesome, alot of work has gone into that by the looks of things. Only 2 previous owners, HPI clear, 12 months MOT, full respray, full leather, full kit, 6 months tax... has to be worth £1500 if its as good as the advert makes out.
180 suspension and roll bars will cost pence for those worries about handling.

Pity it appears to have been shill bid, one bidder doubled the price yesterday.

petet16

Went for £1620 seemingly.

I hope the winning bidder knows it isn't a zs but a 99 Rover 420.
