when i activate the alarm all is good, 30 seconds later it starts kicking, been doing it since last night, i did go threw a big ass puddle tho earlier on could thid be the cause coz sumat is wet, doin my head right in, is there anyway of reseting it or sumat like that:hang:

Could be the dreaded, Soggy sounder, have a look at this, may help.

MK1? Check all switches, I would look at the bonnet one as that has been the offending one on my mk1 a while back. It had moved slightly, enough to be not quite switching off when the bonnet was closed.

It could be soggy sounder if it's a late mk1, or one of the door or bonnet swiches as Mick said.

thanks guys, must of been abit wet, it seems to have corrected itself..... notice to self, avoid big puddles haha

While it's still working, take it out, dry it out and seal it, as there's almost certainly still water in there.
Next time it fills up you might not be so lucky.

im not that gr8 with fixing cars, ill get my m8 to sort it for me haha, a pint or 2 will do him ( i hope) :blush:
