In my watch list, it'll still go for a tidy amount over £100 tho I reckon!

On my watch list as well but I don't plan on changing just yet so might just let it go

I thought there was a slight difference in these between ZS/ZT and Freelander.

They all share the same part number, so should be interchangeable.

Having posted that statement above I noticed 2 things, the LR part is the same number with a L on the end which may be an issue, in theory it is the same, in practice that sometimes isn't the case, the second thing is the new price, MG over £800, LR £495:no:

I thought I read a thread somewhere about a slight difference in the LR inlet manifold that meant they aren't interchangeable.

If it helps the Land Rover Guys think Rover 75 Manifolds are better quality and tend to fit those as an "upgrade" part to their freelanders...

SOUNDS VERY NICE

Didn't know they were supposed to make any sound unless faulty.

So is there confirmation on the difference between the landrover ones and the MG ones if any?

I couldn't find the thread so must have been my imagination! What's been posted above re. same part numbers etc sounds more convincing.

I'm still not sure if they're the same or not, Rimmer Bros usually show the LR part number if the item is the same as the MG part, but in the case of the manifold they don't.

Would seem daft to manufacture the same engine and an identical to look at manifold but make them different. I would imagine they used the same mould.

It would seem daft I agree, I also don't buy the zt ones being somehow better quality, it sounds like internet myth to me

Better suspension probably gives the impression of better reliability, softer suspension = less vibration and bumps on the engine.

Looks like it's going to be bid to silly money for a s/h unit.
