I know i have a cheek saying this driving an MG and all, but i have reliability concerns with Alfa. Although i think the last 156 was stunning. Loved the recesed headlights and low stance.

Reliabilty???? Whats that when an Alfa is concerned.....lol I used to work in an Alfa garage, never short of work ...............All Alfas are built with the heart, not a spanner lol.

Is it just misconception and BS or are they really that bad ?

YES, they still are pretty ruff :yucky:

But the late '80s to 2000 are when the company was in trouble, so build quality was in the gutter..............Shame cos they are nice cars..

My wife has a Fiat Bravo and my sister in law has a Gullieta (excuse the spelling) and they both seem pretty similar, even the shape of them.

FIAT bought Alfa Romeo, so they share the same underskin. They are now built a bit better. Who can forget the lovely Alfa Romeo Arna :axe:

One of the best drivers cars I ever had was an Alfa 33 green cloverleaf. In the 2 years I owned it all it needed were a new exhaust centre box and some discs and pads.
