I got tuner wheel nuts with my new wheels and noticed that within a week that they are all rusty.

Is this common or should I be making a complaint?

I originally thought it was the adapter that was rubbing rust into them as it is bare metal, but all 16 look like this or worse:

Are there better options out ther that will fit and look better? (nothing bling-tastic!)

Complain as not fit for purpose! Mine are showing signs but they are over 3 years old!

Doesn't seem right mate to be honest ....

If you don't get any joy changing them, the black covers I bought for mine were only about £7 off amazonia .....

My chrome ones went exactly the same way within weeks of fitting them

I used these from Grant@gbe http://www.gb-ent.com/cars/index.php/drivetrain-and-chassis/wheel-accessories/m12-x-1-5-tuner-wheel-nut-set-20-red.html

I had a set on a previous car, I thought they were a major pain especially when the removal stud sheared through the middle when 2 of the nuts were loose for whatever reason they were. Was unfortunate as was at birchanger services on the M11 when it happened.
I would say that after a couple of weeks you definitely have grounds for complaint and them to supply you another set or give option of something better.

that's what happens with the cheap tuner nuts you get free with wheels, mine were exactly the same and then the inside rounded off really easily.

Decent high quality tuner nuts are upwards of £50 a set... so go figure

I've accumulated enough standard MGR alloy wheel nuts over the years to stock a small shop - the design hasn't changed since the introduction of the MG maestro in 1983.

If ever one looks rough I just chuck it and fit another.
