Good Afternoon all.

I have had an issue today and was wondering if you guys maybe able to shed some light on it.

Went out today and tried to start up my 180. She did not want to start, didn't sound like a flat battery, almost like she wasn't sparking.
I kept my foot to the floor and she fired up, and sounded really lumpy.
Sounded like a blockage, got her to 4.5k and it past and ran normally again.
I know its cold but the smoke that came out the back was mad, loads and loads of the stuff.
Took her for a drive and everything is fine again, stopped and she restarted again on the button.

Am i to blame the cold weather or could it be a more underlined issue?

Thanks in advance.

I take it all the levels under the bonnet are fine?

No sign of coolant loss or oil loss?

Is this the first time it's happened?

Spark plugs? I know when mine were gapped poorly I had same symptoms, would only start the same way yours did, throttle wide open then loads of smoke. Checked and corrected the gapping and all was good. :)

First time it's happened, and levels are all good.

I was thinking spark plugs as i have not replaced them since buying the car 4 years ago, but they have never caused me a prob before, and after a run i left the car for 30 mins, can back and she fired straight back up.

I hope its not a blocked cat, coz they are bloody expensive lol, althou a straight piece of pipe would do till MOT time ;)

Sticky iacv?? can i be dumb please lol. Whats that and what do i need to do?

Thanks
