changed cam and crank sensors, still no spark.
changed ring to pickup code from fob also.
engine speed is being read on diags, so its seeing the crank sensor.

led in middle of dash flashes when armed, goes off when unlocked via fob and stays off when ignition is on, engine turns over but does not spark.

almost like its in a state of immobilisation.

mk2 with pektron and round 3 button fobs, both fobs will lock/unlock car.

any ideas?

Is it showing any fault codes?

Maybe try running a spare jump lead between the engine and body, if it fires up then engine earth it is

no fault codes.

would it turn over with a bad earth?

Does the fuel cut-off have the same effect?
Are you getting the sound of the fuel pump when the ignition is on?

fuel cut flashes the indicators like mad when its tripped - not that, tried pressing it anyway just iing indicators.ncase, but its not flash

fuel pump primes on ignition.

should the little led in the dash be off when mobilised?

I'm pretty sure the led should be off.

Did you say you'd changed the transponder ring round the ignition barrel

yep. changed ring.

I've never been sure if the ring is coded to the fobs/bcu/ecu or not, when I changed them I did the whole lot just to be on the safe side, have you tried putting the original ring back.

I get what your saying about it turning over so may rule out the earth. The read sensor shouldnt need coded in. And if th imobiliser was kicking in i dont think it would turn over

Both of my immobilisers let the engine turn over but don't fire...

this may be a pektron quirk - i don't know...

if you put ignition on when immobilised, it beeps like mad and does not even allow the engine to turn, I often found though that if you press the unlock button with ignition still on and try to start it it will turn over and not start (immobilised the spark), I would have to turn ignition fully off for it to start properly - almost as though it is immobilised in 2 ways - starter and spark.

may not be related at all, but it is making me think its an immobiliser issue?

I'm now going to say every time......................... Have you checked the relay in the passenger footwell for water?????

Dont know what it all means but has caused a bit of a prob in the past!!!!

Just wondering why the fuse would blow.
