I wonder how much they will be when they are fully into production again?

I suppose that will depend on where they intend to pitch it.

Well the SV wasn't really in the kind of market that 'joe public' would've been interested and i doubt the new one would be (if they make one), so the price i'd say will be about the same as 'last time round'. I guess i'll not be having one then.

The first time they pitched it in at around the £75k mark to compete with the supercars. But fell way short as we all know.

The current production model, which should be available in 2008 when all the production issues have been resolved, may be pitched lower to attract a different kind of driver with a much lower budget.

Who knows?

Who knows?

'MG-R' (or whatever they are called now) I hope....! (or is it even them making them?)

Not entirely sure but I think it may well be MG Sport & Racing as the administrators still held the rights, so I think they are back on as before, they have all the tooling and moulds for production. The cars at the NEC were made from the tooling mentioned and they had everything available for production with nothing missing.

I cannot find anything to back this up though.

Ralph knows a fair bit about them owning one......I think they are awesome........and fingers crossed it will be a competitor in the same sector as the Vauxhall Monaro ;)

I think they will be beyond that, perhaps just above the TVR band.

The rights to produce the SV are now owned by William Riley (a member of the Riley car family). He is (or was?) in negotiation with BMW to get the Riley name back, so that they could be produced under this name. I think that NAC objected to the use of the MG Sport & Racing name.

I would expect that the Riley SV will be pitched with a starting price around £50-60k. But this of course depends upon the specification. Will the car still have a carbon fibre body? Will it use a Ford engine? Who knows?
