Window not working!

Help please, I wound my window down today and now it won't go up ! I've ordered a new motor as the fuse is fine. Just checking is there likely to be another cause of the issue?

If it's a mk2 it could well be the bcu.

fuse? switch? bcu relay (can be changed on some)?

always stick 12v across the motor direct?

Sometimes the glass misaligns and gets stuck.

Before buying a new motor I would take the old out and test it with no load.

Take the card of and stick 12v across the pins on the motor plug. One way around is up and the other down.

I doubt its the motor.

Can you hear any click behind the dash when operating the windows ? The relays in the bcu play up. Its not any easy job to change the bcu as its paired to the ecu ect.
