As above, 120 with hgf in silver. Front end panels all spoken for. Otherwise all parts available. Looks to have new grooved and drilled brakes all round and a new calliper on rear. Has towbar fitted.

Shame it's not a saloon.

Out of mild curiosity, how much work would be needed to replace the MK1 hatch rear end with the sleek MK2 rear?

Move the number plate to the bumper (could take the housing from the old boot lid and put it in the original bumper) or full swap but you'd have random arch spats on the mk2 bumper :/

Oh and it's gonna need a re-spray as we're platinum silver and that ones starlight.
So a bit of work whichever way I suppose.

And what about just the tail gate? Would the MK2 boot fit correctly, match up with the lock and sit with the MK1 bumper correctly?

should be a direct swap over apart from the paint
but youll have no place for the number plate

What wheels and tyres are on it? What condition are they in and how much?

you could just stick the number plate in the back window like a chav ;)

But it'll get covered by the mighty hatch spoiler!

Like i said the Mk1 number plate recess comes off that could be cut and fixed in.

Thumpjunkie on .org did it to his mk1 ZR bumper to put a Mk2 ZR bootlid on the car but kee the rounded goodness of a MK1 ZR.
It looked good!

Thats a more tempting idea. Suspect I'll be taking it to a bodyshop soon anyway to have the splitter sprayed and fitted and a couple of car park scars corrected. So getting the tailgate sprayed would just be a bit more work...
