mk1 zs speedo

As in the title, does the mk1 zs speedo get it's feed from the gearbox or does it use one of the rear abs sensors like a mk2.

I thought they all got a feed from the ABS ECU.

From the box changes I have done there has never been a speedo drive connection, always a socket cover inplace so it must be ABS.

Thanks for the replies, I was asking because a guy on RT has bought a T16 ZS with seriously bodged wiring which has the speedo feed from the gearbox so I just wanted to confirm the mk1 used the abs, he found the obd plug tucked behind the panel where the bonnet release lever is.

Sounds like they may have used the loom from the car that donated the engine, a lot of pre OBD2 cars had an OBD shaped plug mounted on the fuse box.

Get him to swing over here, he'll get more opinions on the ZS.
