Just brought my lad a classic mini 1000 he is 16 next month and is mini mad ( the classic ones ) looks like this is my next project .pics to follow anyone know of anyone who does vehicle collection at right price from boston lincs to newark notts apart from shipleys or on the side at a fair price cheers mick

I got rid of my 1988 mini had it a year was costin to much to keep goin as I was only 18 im deffo gettin another one day. He will love it

Everyone has to own and drive a real mini in their lifetime. I've had loads and raced them, smashing cars.

Plenty work to do on it which is not a prob to me he as a year til his test and then he gets a nice new meat van and a car looking forward to the insurances lol not i said i will pay when he comes to work with me full time

Lucky boy! Great to see a clearly great parent pushing along their kids interest. He'll love every second im sure!!
Would love a classic mini with a honda v-tec or something silly along those lines

Yes, welding, cv joints, drowned distributor (poly bag and an elastic band sorted that).

and dropping the rear subframe to put a new/sh scrappy one.

lifting the body off the front subframe to swap engines.

One of the daughters has a proper Mini Cooper, bought it about 10 years ago for £3,000, still worth or worth more, but thats apart from £1000 to get it through the MoT, last year.

Love the way the mini drive, like they are on rails.

I have 2 classic mini's

Still the most fun I have driving.

I have a 98 Cooper MPI, and a 79 Mini 1000.

Might sell the 79 though

My last one was a cracker, 1275 modified 25th Anniversary on Revolutions, sad to see that one go. Best one was a full race spec 1340 with coilover beam axle.
