Usually only notice it when pulling out of a junction or doing a 3 point turn but there is a really loud knock/clunk from the front. Any ideas?

Subframe bolts, did see a post where there was a recall.

Seemed the rectification was to use a big bar and bend the subframe where it was touching the body.

CV joint.

Loose hub nut, loose wheel nuts, suspension bushes, track rod ends..............

Also check spring seat isn't dry, drop of oil may help, but usual knocking like that points to cv joints.

Thanks all. Is it a expensive fix?

Depends, if your doing it, cheap as chips !

You can get cv joints for about £13.00 on ebay !

Its not horrific if your taking it to a garage either.

Is the correct one?

Seems cheap compared to Rimmer Bros who want over £100.

120 mate, the same one I have had for 7 years ;)
Any other parts needed or is it just that causing the knocking sound?

The joint you linked to will be fine, there is a big price premium for a cv joint in an mgr box.

Jeez, Rimmers want £211 for a cv joint.......................................faint
