Washed the car at work this morning between the customers being in and out, didnt look too bad. Popped round to my mates and after 15 mins looked at the car and it seemed that every local seagull decided it was a good place to take their afternoon crap.! Not too amused by this to be fair so had to go home and start all over again. Whilst was there decided to give her a pre Longbridge & Brands hatch wax and polish, nothing special but was pleased with how it came up after a couple of hours.

Also the car joined the 80k club last weekend on the way to and from Legoland, always enjoyed it being under that to be honest but hopefully another 20k miles of happy motoring yet to come

(Rhiannon took the pic for me whilst I told her when to take it)

She still cleans up ok for a car that has quite bad paint when you see up close.

Yep - good work mate. I really should spend some time polishing mine - the bucket and a sponge ain't good enough really.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, its didnt come up too bad really. Unfortunately it still has the flaws in the paint, couldn't get it any better but at least the better bits are shining nicely now.

I know what you mean Dan, usually once a week down the clean park and a leather off is all she gets with a spray on wax but thought would do a bit more this week.

That is the one thing that's very annoying at the mo, you clean the car one day and by the next morning all the salt, dust and rubbish around on the roads and so on does make it look like you never bothered.

Thanks Daytona, it would be nice if it managed to stay clean until then, we shall see. Yours looks good too, very thorough clean too by the looks of it.

lovely looking Zed

Thank you, do try to keep it as nice as I can. Just end up fighting the constant dinks and scrapes it keeps getting it the various carparks it goes too whilst the mrs is out and about in the week.

That first picture, arguably the nicest picture of a MK1 I have seen, the wheels especially look stunning on that.

Cheers for the comments, yeah they do come up nice when given a good clean and your too right about being a ****** to keep that way. Some colours hide dirt well but mine you only have to sneeze within 10 feet of it and it shows up some dirt lol.

Only just seen this comment, thank you very much. The pictures are however a little deceiving as it is a clean car but not exactly pristine when you see it in the flesh. Either way, thanks very much :D

Same colour as mine I got mine washed at the local car wash as I just couldn't be a*sed to do it my self then drove the 1 /2 mile home and its dirty again at the bottom of the doors/ sills from the silly amount of tyre dressing they put on it

Yours does look peachy though

Cheers Andy, the old girl doesnt clean up too badly really but yes you only need to move a mile down the road and the dirt shows up all down the sides. Frustrating to be honest that it shows up so badly on this blue.

Hope things still going better for you now then buddy?

200k, not sure id have this one that long if totally honest. Love it and everything but would probably want to get another one by that time. Try a different colour or something lol.
Tahiti blue is a nice colour especially on the zs.

Looking good
Tahiti Blue is a great colour, especially with a nice polish & wax.

Finally washed mine yesterday. Spent about four hours out there. Must admit, I'm not impressed with Zymol Glasur.

needed it lol

Yea it did lol
Normally wash it regularly whatever the weather. Its always pristine for the North West meets. But last time I set myself the challenge of not cleaning it... damn near killed me having such a filthy car lol

So long as you stayed on the track mate ... many didn't ...

It did give a couple of twitches on a few corners (cant remember the name) where the rear stepped out which a bit of oposite lock helped the situation but I really didnt want to push it with how bad it was out there.
Still enjoyed it though and had as safe time out there as possible.
Was good to see a couple of other zeds out there too as not a very common sight from previous track days.

Put me off a bit when the MR2 that had just gone by on the straight, was sitting in the middle of the track doing 360 degree spins!!!!

Yours did sound good, as did Dan's.
