Boot latch stirker adjustment...

is it just a case of unscrewing the striker plate and moving it slightly? The boot shuts and opens fine but there is a rattle from the latch when driving over rough roads that isn't there when boot lid is open. I have tried adjusting the rubbers so the boot needs to be slammed hard to close, but still it rattles

I am sure it is the latch as I say it doesn't rattle when boot is open!

Yep slacken them slightly and tap it down a bit, you may have to repeat until you get it to shut easily but with out the rattle.
