What a coincidence, that's not far from us in Bridgend, exactly the same as our 180 and only 3 letters away on the middle letter of the reg, so will have been registered to MGR at Longbridge, then sold on through Mannhiem Auctions I reckon.

He has given that away!! A mk1 that price would have been stupidly cheap as well

Only the last two digits are different to my old 180, and it was an ex-MG demonstrator / factory car :smile1:

Someone got a bargain there!

The Mrs wouldn't let me have it... :-( Someone got a bargain... I would have considered parting with coupe for that.

For that money - I didn't even ask. As soon as it was posted I was on the phone. Offered over asking for it too .....

Never mind.

If anyone else is looking for a sorted Mk2 - a guy on XPF is selling a silver one with a host of quality mods. Looks lovely. Lot more money but nothing to do on it really.

For me, this needed a few bits doing most likely, but at that money, could have thrown a few quid at it and enjoyed doing it at the same time, but then this morning I've looked out on red, and thought to myself that if i bought a Mk2, it'd be the same as when I sold my Black Mk1 for the Red Mk2 hatch. Now that was a great car but I honestly liked the Mk1 better.

I need to wind my neck in - stop looking at other cars and be very happy with what I've got. I've taken a ropey, unloved Mk1 and turned it into something I think is actually quite special.....

Sorry for thinking out loud ....

Thats a good point, I must stop looking at cars, I am happy with the Coupe and hoepfully once finished this summer, be very happy. Saw 2 bargains yesterdat that tempted me. This one and an 800 Vitesse Coupe for 380 to streets away from my Dad...

In fainess to the Mrs I did treat myself to a Vitesse on her birthday a few years ago and then bought a second sterling last summer and told her afterwards...

Must be a good boy. lol

I hope some one got a bargain, it seems suspiciously cheap to me, and you know what they say about things that seem to good to be true.

I phoned him planning to flip it straightaway but he'd already done a deal.
