I have been offered a swap for my mk1zs 180 for a 51plate impreza. Non turbo. It has higher miles than the zs. Such a hard decision. What to do?
Help

No contest. Have you seen the spec (or should I say non spec) of the Impreza

Non turbo Impreza for a zs, not a chance, they aren't even in the same ball park.

Keep the ZS, it will be worth it in the end............
No turbo no interest.keep the zs.

Not hard at all. The only impreza worth having is a turbo - otherwise it's like comparing it to a Cavalier ....
If its a ZS120 then there might be grounds for discussion but a ZS180, I think not.

Check the spec for yourself. It will be a almighty comedown.

ZS120 performance with ZS180 emissions and economy..... Who built that engine?!
124bhp in an impressive! I'm shocked at how rubbish that is!

Yep, it's all about turbos. Without them they are nothing.

That is one lame excuse for a Subaru, no contest.

You would still expect it to put out at least 150bhp ish from the 2.0 so that even being on the weak side its still got a bit more to move it along.
I still want one although for now have gone against the idea of the impreza I was looking at purely for the running costs as even when I had my old montego turbo running the O series it with running done it was still more economical than the scoob.
Still great cars imo I you get the right one :)

If it was the turbo I wouldn't be asking the question

That's the thing though, you've had to ask the question so your heart not really into the swap.
