I want all of these, but only really have spare funds for one of them at this time.

Can't afford a full stainless exhaust, so thought this would look ok for the moment:

Fancy a flip key, and is a good price:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271186207934?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Also a bit of engine bay bling/coolness:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321082373015?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

So, which one of these would you choose first?

Eventually i will get them all, but need help choosing the first one :greedy:

Cheers
Dave

saw some flip keys at PoL, looked good.

Struts dont look a bad mod, either.

Bonnet struts would be my choice, the stainless exhaust trim looks a bit naff, and Bobby Brown may be able to do a better deal on flip keys.

To be fair to bobby, his are £20 for the same key/fob, these are much much less.

The tip is better than the rusty one i currently have on the car, and being 304 stainless, less likely to rust i would have thought.

I do like the bonnet lifters, just need to make a small bracket for them.

I'm really stuck :(

Exhaust tip is tacky, flip key is cheaper than Bobby Browns (I'm sure he posted why they didn't work somewhere) and I'd look for civic lifters as they come with a bracket that fits to the hinge and saves drilling (or drilling twice and leaving holes as I saw the other day), they are more expensive but easier to fit.

Do the only thing people are going to see and get the tip
Those twin pipes will look really naff though. get yourself a 2.5 inch outward rolled tip ;)

I agree about the Civic struts, straight fit, no drilling, or extra brackets required.

I can make the bracket myself, without the need to drill into my bonnet. It is just a 'L' shaped piece of steel, and bolted to the bonnet. The only drilling, is into the bracket.

I must admit, i like the twin pipes, here is the tip i have at the moment:

Was a very cheap one, and is now rusting, hence wanting a replacement. Can't afford the full system, so willing to spend 10% of that cost on a stainless tip.

The flip fobs look exactly the same what bobby is supplying, for about £8 less delivered, even including the correct key blank.

Cheers
Dave

None of it ...

Save up and get a 2nd hand stainless back box. You'll get one eventually and then the tip gets skipped ....

Better still - save up and get a respray to a different colour ..... ;)

I would like to think you don't drive around with the bonnet open, and when you don't drive, you don't lift it often, so why bother with bonnet lifters -if its that much of a shed you are always under the bonnet, weight it in.

As for the tail tip, it reminds me of a colleague who ordered the 318i company car then had bmw weld another bean can next to the original to make it look like a 328i with twin exhausts, much to the amusement of everyone else in the comapny it fell off!

As for the flip key, they are designed not to stab you in the groin, but for those who live in the leeds and bradford area keys also double as personal safety (according to this bird I know from Bradford) by putting each key between the fingers so that you are ready to stab someone, so if you live and park in a nice area with no terrorists about I would go for the concealed flip key, assuming you don't need to stab anyone quick it could be a worthwhile mod, at least your groin will be safe and you will always be able to have kids.

Could use it as a flick knife as it could be considered a locking blade!
(Not condoning stabbing of any kind, just how I see it :) )

The fob is a good idea but I wouldn't want one with Land Rover on it. I agree with Dan though. Save up and buy something substantial before blowing it on little bits you'll get bored of quickly.
