Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware it was going on for so long. Reminds me a bit of the Old Speckled Hen MGB that was supposedly given away. I saw it at Stoneleigh Park and asked who won it. I was told no one. However it looks like this one is going to be drawn at MG live 2013. I can't believe there are so many wingers - what do they expect for £20. I would buy a ticket to win a 10 year old TF that had done 50,000 miles let alone one that has sat in a showroom with delivery mileage, warranty or no warranty

This car was 'raffled' off in the same manner at PoL a couple of years ago. It was £10 per entry, there were a few people walking around PoL wearing those same T-shirts as shown in one of the pics in that Autotrader advert trying to open up the wallets of some punters.

Did someone win it and is now going to pass it on to another fellow enthusiast in the same manner as he won it? Or is this just some great big scam?

I think it's the same raffle still running, the dealer says he bought it from MGR in a sealed bid auction.

Well its been going on for a hell of a long time.
605 people entered, at £20 per go = £12,100. Not quite met the £17,000 asking price of the vehicle yet.

I was in this dealers on Tuesday for some parts looking at this car and offer, they have the sign up sheet by the car iirc it was around the 670 mark I was tempted and it said its 'limited' to 850 entrants. I was put off because I can do maths... but that said its a nice looking motor and had the full history about how they bought it from the museum that kept all the 251's. Going to make some entrant very happy :)
