Fuel Filter Change

Good Evening All.

Can anyone please tell me if there is a guide on here on how to replace the fuel filter on my 180?

If not can anyone tell me where it is and how to change it.

Top right off the engine tucked in a little..

Really easy all you need is a 15mm spanner and and 19mm spanner to release the fittings and I think it's a 10mm for the clamp holding it in place.

It's directional so make sure the new one goes the correct way. :)

Thanks Mate, will have to have a look under the bonnet tomorrow to try locate it.

Doing a complete service when I've been paid on the 20th, my god she needs it, Still feels quick but does feel like some horses have escaped and need rounding up lol.

The list is:

Oil (Castrol GTX)
Oil Filter (Bosch)
Air Filter (Bosch)
Spark plugs (NGK Platinum)
HT Leads (Bosch)
Fuel Filter (Bosch)

All for £108.30 :)

I need to change the fuel filter on my wife's Merc A140 the fuel filter on that is £30.00 alone. Bloody Merc's :)

The fuel filter has some quick release fittings but these can be hard to get to resit so if you can get to the unions in situ this is the way to go.

HT Leads ?

The HT leads are for the front 3 plugs.

Earlier cars have HT leads on the front bank.

I recently changed the plugs and leads on my mk1, possibly for the first time since new, made a noticeable difference.

When you do the rear spark plugs you'll be able to do it without removing anything apart from the coil packs if you use an extension and a universal joint on your wrench.

As said above the plugs for the rear bank look a bit daunting at first, but a plug socket with a short extension, then a u/j, and another extension works fine, you might find the plug for number 2 cylinder (rear bank, first plug) is rusty, it seems to be quite common on zs v6's.

Dont forget for doing the rear bank of plugs, you also need plenty of PATIENCE.
