Oh no mate - nightmare.

I was reading the other day about a new shape Scirocco with one of the new engines that had failed - the garage bill for the repair was about 11K - but the guy only paid £2K ish as the car had only just come out of warranty.

What happened ?

Yep following on from limp mode yeah.

Google tells me that the 160 version of the TSi 1.4 is very common for missfires and eating rods. Which most likely has happened to mine.
