.......here is my new to me motor.

Shes a 2007 Focus ST2 in Performance Blue, 40K from new, 1 owner, but she needs a good bit of bodywork done as she is covered in scrapes/scratches/scuffs, and she needs a good refurb of the alloys and new rubber!!

I should have some, how many you needing? They are fine priveded they dont get overtightened.....which seems pretty impossible when kwik fit is involved...

Thanks for the positive comments, was a bit fearful of putting up since I loved my MG to bits, first day of doing the usual work run, lets see how this thing works/plays/handles

Ave got a wee shopping list for it already:

Refub Alloys possibly mid to dark anthricite grey
New rubber shoes, as I have 3 different makes of tyres
lowered on Eibach proline springs - 40mm drop

But in the longer term, will be doing the following:

Remap to around 280-300Bhp, which includes Exhuast/Filter/Front Mount etc (Proper not claimed!)
Paint work (RS Rear diffuser, Poss RS spoiler)
Polybush it
Bigger brakes
Leather Recaros

nice car, good colour, im sure you will have it pristine asap.
it is a good engine for tuning , trouble is as soon as you ramp up the boost you get the awful front wheel drive, turbo torque, traction difficulties.

Chris's ST kept eating driveshafts, never did hear what happened to it or if he even has it anymore. Last time I saw it it had some DC wrap going on as he was into doing the Modball runs.

peterzs
28-05-13, 04:09 PM
Last time I saw Chris, asked if I had a tow rope to pull him out of Santa Pod. He had just done another half shaft, doing a run!!!

Well not a major update but I nice one, Some of you probably seen my Facebook pics, but those who didn't here they are.

I bought these wheels from a seller on Gumtree and them delivered to me on Friday night, cheaper than refurbishing my own alloys and getting new tyres!!

Does look nice as always quite liked these for a ford. Need to see it from a side shot so can really see how it sits now, after a few miles once its settles more you'll notice the drop more.

When to the scrappies today and got from a Mondeo Ghia a Auto Dim Dip rear view mirror all for a £5, a bit of modding the base but fits good, also have the rain sensor, but heard these dont always work, would need to configure the car with Ford VNC and ELMConfig anyway.

Another update.....

Well was a busy day for the car today getting some new bits fitted,
I got the Mongoose downpipe also R-Sport intercooler.
Got the downpipe fitted at mates place, and I fitted the intercooler with the help of my other mates Rab and Hosie, as they pulled the bumper off, as I didnt have a clue, these cars are totally different to the MG as I knew it back to front and then back again, Car pulls much stronger now, so am well happy, all I need to do now is get a decat made and then a remap, and see what goes from there.

New one top, OE one bottom

Was contemplating a new ST3 after driving my dad's new focus the other week, can't bring myself to get rid of the zeds though!

There's a lot of metal blocking airflow on the front there it seems is it all needed?

KevG
18-01-14, 07:53 PM
Aven with the RS focus its the same its the crash bar, but you can get scoops that direct the air upwards tho.

Skillen
18-01-14, 07:58 PM
I'd be chop chop chopping :)

Looks like there'd be plenty of flow as the bumper is fairly open especially on the rs!
