DVLA are doing my nut in just now.
As some may know Ive bought a bike project that I am doing up so is off the road,
When I purchased the bike it had 2 days till Tax ran out Easter Wkend)
I couldnt do Sorn online as V5 wasnt in my name, and post office no longer deal with Sorn.
So I sent V5 away to be put in my name, 3 weeks later with new V5 I went to SORN online or by phone and the system wouldnt let me ?
So next day a trip to nearest DVLA centre in Glasgow, guy asked me why I hadnt done it sooner, told him my problems and he asked me to fill a form out and told me it should be sorted now..
6 weeks later I now get a penalty notice through as I havent declared SORN,
pay £40 now plus £6.50 back tax or £80 if later than 28 days..
I still cant get to Sorn online or by phone,
angry trip back to the Glasgow DVLA tomorrow
