These would be a pretty close match to the originals http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/Flanged-Pozi-Pan_B2BC5.aspx

Go for marine quality ones. I renewed most of my slam panel bolts with them.

and while we are on the subject what size are the slam panel bolts ??
There are 13 smaller ones (guessing m5 here) and 4 holding the headlights on (m6 maybe??)

Cheers Rob
ps any one know the size of the arch liner screws as i cant find my steel rule anywhere to measure them up

Ok just been out and checked there all m6 x1.0 bolts
the 4 holding the bonnet catches are 30mm long the rest of the 8mm head ones are between 12mm and 20mm (these are approx measurments as i did it with a tape measure)
the 10mm headed bolts holding headlamps etc are also m6

so im going to get 4xm6x30mm
the 30x m6 x20mm all in 10mm head to keep it easy for ordering (m6 would come as a 10mm head easier anyway)
and ill also order a few 20mm stainless washers (for headlamps and header tank mostly)
And the screws as best as i can make out are 15mm x 4mm (so would be 4.2mm size 8)

Cheers Rob

so these will be the ones i try for the arch liners http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-Steel-No-8-Flanged-Self-Tapping-Screws-/150793705317?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ&var=&hash=item68ca773f58
these for the bonnet catch bolts http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M4-M5-M6-M8mm-Stainless-Steel-Flanged-Button-Head-Socket-Screws-Bolts-/160855086829?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ&var=&hash=item6b2035f9a1

then these for the rest http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M4-M5-M6-M8mm-Stainless-Steel-Flanged-Button-Head-Socket-Screws-Bolts-/160855086829?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ&var=&hash=item6b2035f9a1

decided flange head would remove the need for seperate washers too fingers crossed !!

Let me know how you get on, if these are all correct I'll be eternally grateful!

Doing this has been on my to-do list for ages.

Ok so I ordered up some bolts and its good news
The 4 for the bonnet catches are m6 x30mm
the rest i got are m6 x 20mm
I still need to get 2x m6x25mm for the 2 bolts holding the air filter to slam panel but the rest look ok
I got them as flanged button head in stainless as per the links a few posts back
oh and the stainless self tappers i ordered are bang on size wise just need to get a few stainless penny washers for behind the screws to hold the arch liners more securely
I also am going to try to replace the plastic arch liner clips with stainless bolts in the centres as it will work out cheaper than buying new plastic clips so will let you all know how it goes with that

Under the bonnet is the same for both versions.

I replaced most of them on the mk1 and the F, shall be doing the mk2 soon.
