A friend of mine :smile1: ordered an expensive item from company online
item turned up but wrong style -Still V nice though-
Company was contacted & they sent out the correct style with the old one to be posted 2nd class back to the company when convenient.
So should my friend return the item as company was good enough & quick to admit fault
or
should my friend be tempted to keep both items ??
As he paid by switch would they be able to take the cost of the 2nd item from his bank ??
what would you do if it was you(r) friend ?

if he plans on using them again send it back, if not, then its the gamble you take.. dont think they can re-charge you as that transaction has been completed.

Why would anyone consider keeping it?

Dont you hate it when companies rip you off? Id advise my 'mate' to not sink to their level, especially if they have treated him well.

No moral dilema here....

Often firms don't ask for the wrong item back, in this instance they have so you(r friend) ought to.

Where's the moral dilemma? Send it back as they have requested it plus they did not have to send a replacement so soon as most would wait for the other one to return before sending out a second item.

Firstly it's not your mate it must be you! Secondly do the decent thing and send it back. No doubt you would be committing a criminal offence.

I agree, no dilemma at all as the company righted their wrong the original should be sent back with no quibble whatsoever.
If was the other way round how would you(r) mate feel about it then.
Just need to do the right thing and send it back :)

First of all, it was you wasnt it, secondly what was "the item"?, thirdly send it back, no dilema.

If "your friend" likes the other item, make contact and see if there would be a discount perhaps on keeping it against the full price as it's liked too.

If not - seeing as you've asked - got to go back mate to be honest.

Quite a few harsh comments guys, nowt has been done yet.
Item is Designer handbag from very top brand name for his wifes Birthday
Will tell mate to go with the majority & return the other one.
Cheers for input.

Haha the good old 'I have a friend who..' thread.

Send it back, keeping it without having paid for it is the same as stealing IMO.

Im pretty sure sending it was the plan all along, you(r friend) just had to here it from someone else first :innocent:

Situation dealt with so this thread can be closed.
Cheers for input guys.
