Hi all,

Im looking for a decent ZS diesel for my girlfriend. It needs to be in good condition, reasonable mileage and reliable as she will be using it daily for work.

The above points are the priority, colour and model are secondary considerations but ideally a hatch for practicality.

If anyone knows of anything, please let us know :). Looking forward to having two ZSs when we find the right one.

Thanks, Phil

A guy on .org is selling a mk2 hatch for 1500 and it looks very nice. Buy it before I do !

Cheers Dan, Ive been in touch with him about it. It seems nice but its too far away considering hes "solid on price". It would cost £50 in petrol just to take a look :(.

What about this -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-MG-ZS-TD-DIESEL-69K-XPOWER-WIDE-VENT-BODYKIT-RARE-TAX-MOT-NO-PX-zr-zt-gti-/111114553451?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item19def1886b

Nice looking hatch with the 180 kit and low mileage. Cheap too. In fact - why am I telling you about it and not buying it myself ..... ????

Went and had a look at a ZR and that grey ZS above, what a waste of a trip. Bodywork on the grey one is tatty to say the least. We left before we even spoke to the seller.

Come on guys, someone sell us your pride and joy!

The Grey zs looks as rough as a badgers ar5e, neither bumper fits properly, the fuel flap is bent/twisted, no wonder all the pics are out of focus

Did you go see it too pete? Didnt even talk to the guy, just took one look and walked away. Birmingham is 120 miles each way from where I am, I was annoyed!

Still looking guys, will consider a 45 too

No, just enlarged the pics, was it as rough as it appears.

I thought they would have just been reflections etc because I called the guy to ask him and he said it was all good just a couple of scuffs (to be expected with a car of that age). But yes, it was at least as bad as it looks if not worse.
Like you say, bumpers hanging off, filler cap bent, drivers seat ripped, headlamps clouded up, hole in roof where rear window washer used to be, dented front wing, dented rear door.
That was all found within 30 seconds of arriving so not sure what the story would have been if Id have looked properly.
Either way, it was a dog but it seems to have gone somehow.
