Looks decent. You going to keep this one?

Yes, after the clutch going on the first and just not being happy with the last one this one is here to stay. Always wanted a mk2 but was a bit over my budget for a good one, until now.

Just gotta work out what I need to take off my early mk1 yellow to replace for project drive.

I'll take the extreme spoiler off the yellow one and keep it in storage in case I decide to fit it but for now keep it a lip spoiler.

Looks good.

Project drive swaps should include carpet (and extra air duct), kick panels from A,B and C posts, glove box, rear shelf, under bonnet insulation, boot linings, horn(s) and door cards.

Also worth looking at all the little mounting brackets under the bonnet and I would say the bolts for the rear spoiler if you had the big one.

£35 for the train. Thing is I'm not good on public transport. Start getting panic attacks.

What's the kick panel stuff?
How do they differ?

Also if you can, scour scrappies for early mk1 45's, they have passenger and driver footwell insulation that you can pull out.

Think it's the chrome on the floor as you get in.

I've got some on my mk1, but don't want to put the chrome on the silver one.

The insulation on the back is better.

After I swapped it all into the mk2 the first time I drove the car I thought it was quieter than before, I then realised this was only since I did the swap.

A lot of it is single carriageway and roundabouts and bottlenecks, TBH the A27 is a bit of a mere, more fun would be to go back up and take the A272 to Petersfield, much nicer road.

So you're meaning the plastic trim by your feet and where the seatbelt bit is in the b pillar and behind the seats on the rear?

I may add further to mine if I swap them.
