View Full Version : Look what happens if you go on holiday and leave your car with the father in law!
Left the car with mrmick whilst we were away on holiday for a service and some work, and look what happens! Cheers Dad!

Next step is to refurb the alloys and redo graphics with a better quality vinyl and sort the sides of the car out!

Would've gone with the same width stripes on the roof and bonnet maybe, but I like it.

I'm with Dan on the bonnet stripes but yeah quite like it. It certainly stands out from the crowd.

The outer stripes on the bonnet are wider than the roof ones.

Yeah its just an opinion of mine that the roof and bonnet should match. if you are happy with it that's what counts.great to have a father in law that helps out my father in law certainly put me on the road to doing all the work I do he showed me and helped a lot when I was starting with cars.

I know the bonnet's wider - so I'd have had the bonnet ones matching the thinner ones on the roof's what I mean - but hey - as has been said - your car, your rules....

For what it's worth the roof follows the lines and stops at the roof rail trim, if it went beyond it, it wouldn't be right. However if the outer bonnet ones followed the roof outer width then it would look dimensionally correct for the pedantic ones amongest us! If you like it then that is all that matters, I'm not one to talk as I have graphics :whistle:

It certainly makes it different from most. I personally wouldve gone with leaving the majority black and doing the stripes and details I'm the green as I think it possibly looks a bit much but I cannot knock it for finish and the fact that it is unique.
Does look good but I'd have done it a bit different I think but that's what makes us all different in our own ways.
As long as you like it then it really doesn't matter what anyone else says, fair play for making it your own :D :D
First look I wasn't keen but second look and going through the photos has it growing on me and I rather like it. Stands out and looks a good job done in applying it too, look forward to seeing next pics with Refurbished wheels :)

Wouldn't have done it myself but If I were to do it think I would have gone just for the center stripe and not the outer ones

lol, not my taste either but its your car and im sure you love it! it would be boring if we all had the same.
Lol was really gonna do florescent pink on it but thought not save that for the daughters zs .the black strips are all the same size if you look at the car head on or rear on the fall in line mixted comments thats why i think this forum is so good keep it up guys

Was going to ask if you live in Kettering then saw your last post. Drove past it last night on the way home from football training and thought 'sure I've seen that on the forum!' Then as I was cycling home today a yellow mk2 with black alloys pulled up in the same place! Assume that's mrmicks? Looked like new!
