Help again !!! how do get the o2 sensor out the cat pipe the rear one that is have tried everything stuck solid !!!!!!! any advice Thanks .....

Heat. Maybe let the car run up to temperature and try then.

The cars up on axle stands with gearbox out !! but have tried a bit of heat but didn't want to heat to much in case I cooked it .... been told there are 22mm sensor sockets on the bay but wanted to get done now ..... thanks guys for a fast response ...

You can get special sockets, they look like plug socket with a slot in them for the sensor wire.

That's just my b****y luck gone and broke one of the white wires off the sensor !!!!! and to short to resolder, got the sensor out though after lots of heat and brute force .. Now another question are the sensors the same as I have one that came with a rear manifold off a 180 I was given a while back 4 wires as well . Just been on Rimmers and got a right fright on costs of new one , anyone got suggestions ..

splice an extra piece of wire in,or go scrappy raiding like i have done in the past the sensors on pretty much all the modern rovers seem to be the same its just the plug that is different and then its just a case of swapping the plugs with a bit of solder and shrink wrap.six seven years later and no problems

a didnt know that,could save a few quid doing it that way
