Well if anyone saw my headlights you'd know they were in an awful state, covered in grime and scratches, reckon I was loosing over 50% light output as they were. Well today have spent the best part of 4 hours refurbing them.

Will also throw in the osram nightbreaker gold bulbs that have seen about maybe 3-4 hours use max
£80 delivered next day.

I bought the megs kit for £20 which comes with a bottle of cutting liquid, 2 wet and dry pads (giving you 4 grades 1800,2000,3000 and 4000) and a mop head which you attach to a drill. The pads are a bit crap tho and the 1800 just wasn't course enough so I ended up buying some 1200 to start with then going back to the 1800 onwards. The kit is ok but you'd be better off just getting some cutting compound, some sheets of wet'n'dry and a proper polishing mop would be ideal. The little pads you get are just too small but my local shop only had 1200 grade otherwise i'd have replaced them with some proper sheets.

Exactly what i did with mine with the exception that i added a 1400 inbetween 12 and 18. I found the cutting compound inadequate so i used T-cut for metallic paint and then Autoglym glass polish. The megs came in fine as a last polish. Lights look as new now and i agree about the amount of light that was being lost before, my range is far far better than it previously was.

Look great .... Too much for me and I could do with some.

Tell you what - I'll give you mine - (you can refurb and then sell them on) - the electric mirrors and £50.

You will need to use a UV protection or they will be the same in a couple of months , when you sand , it sands all the UV protection off....

Just a heads up
