Ive just found out by looking at the sales invoice of the ZS that it is a 115,On my car insurance its insured as a 113,so i thought i better phone them up to tell them its 115,but they have no details for a 115,113 comes up,im with touchline (broker) they have told me they will have to pass it onto another department, which is not looking good as it might cost me more to insure or they might not be able to insure me

Do you have any advice why they cant find it? the person who had the car before me had it insured under 113,so thats why i first told them it was a 113

115 is what it's known as... the 113 is the BHP reading and 115 is the Ps if i remember right.

Just like the 180... It's 180Ps and 175BHP. Nothing to worry about. :)

Here's all the technical details on it if you are interested. :)

it is a 113. The whole numbering thing is a minefield with MG rover. It is 113 bhp or 115 Ps. For some reason all the insurers list the diesel by its bhp figure while the rest are by their ps figure (ie 110 120 and 180)

Mine is insured as a 113 and i made a point of telling them it is the higher power output diesel. all bases covered that way.

insurance companies can be strange with things like this, but as above it is 113ps, MG Rover just rounded up the ps figure so the badges are better thats all.
BHP figures are below and may surpise some of you

MGZS 110.............107bhp
MGZS 120.............115bhp
MGZS 180.............175bhp
MGZS TD .............99bhp
MGZS TD115.........111bhp

All figures are MG Rovers quote bhp figures, most the time they used ps as this adds 2 on to the bhp figure and makes the engines seem more powerful. Just one of the little tricks all car manufactors like to pull. Another is to compare their cars 0-60mph time with there competiers 0-62mph time (0-100kph)
