Interest finder for Chrome vents and Black Oak trim

Here's the story - Basically - I've found a R45 that I have bought the headlights from as mine are kak and they are described as mist free and unmarked - fingers crossed eh.

Whilst on the phone to the guy, I asked what trim was fitted and about the vents.

Basically he's putting it all in a box and sending to me. I've bought the trim and vents to make the whole package cheaper with the intention of recouping money to offset the cost of the lights. I know that black oak is a desirable change and pretty rare to find considering the last set that was advertised on here, as are the chrome vents.

This is a who's interested thread - pending arrival and a better description of them.

Is it an ATC type console panel, or the manual type.

Last time I asked about the fascia etc. the guy wanted £100 and then £50 for the vents.
I always find the idiots wanting thousands for a bolt.

I need two 45vents but for the right price and condition may be interested in the full lot.

That's a good find, I found two rings in a scrap yard which ar ethe two I have now. I dismantled them and got them for nothing with a load of rear window stuff.
Found two rear setups the other day too.

I already have four R45 vents, but two of them have bad scratches on the chrome ring... :(

Ahh fair enough, mine are good enough. Little tiny micro scratches which would buff out but no heavy ones.

Separate the ring trim and it'll make postage cheaper too then we aren't gettin the full vent pod through the post.

Well it's here.

Main bit for me - the lights are good....phew.

The console trim has small marks and indentations where the head unit would go. Bonus is that it came with the climate control unit still fitted, all the switches and a trafficmaster clock. Dash trim's fine, but gear trim part missing. Seller contacted so we'll see what happens.

Vents are OK - but the internals on two of them are broken.

So I can take the surrounds off the two broken vents and send the others out as complete units.

As for the black oak - it's marked on the centre console around where the head unit would go. The bits around the actual hole will cover up with the surround plate of the head unit, but if you look towards the curved area, there are marks where some numpty has used a lever - but is complete with traffic master clock and working climate control unit. When I changed mine yesterday I plugged them both in and they work fine.

Gear surround is on it's way to me so as yet unseen - the dash strip is good.

Anyone fancy it - offers due to the marks and additional clock and climate unit ?

The strips are sided dan, curved at one end and you cant flip them over so they would suit being fitted on the opposite side of the car a la left hookers, rest of the dash parts are interchangeable i would have thought:)

The gear lever surrounds are handed for l/h and r/h drive, the facia plate may be the same for both though

Does traffic master still work? I heard they were shutting down this service? If not, may be able to sell it separately?

They are shutting them down, but they do still appear to command decent money on the bay of e.

I'd sell it seperate if it was wanted, but thought that throwing it in may offset the bit of damage to the console.

Sale of the Black Oak trim has fallen through as Matts decided to sell his car.

We were agreed at £50 for all the trim or £60 for the trim including the A/C unit and trafficmaster clock.

Anyone before ebay ?
