slave bracket

if i was to change the bracket for a new one,how do i go about the slave,can i just take it off the bracket,or am i better to disconnect it halfway up the piping,scared incase i remove it and the slave extends,and wont refit.

No no no, don't disconnect the pipe work. Just undo the three bolts and earth strap. There is a little pre tension on the push rod but not much.

Swap the bracket and put it back together.

Yeah Andy just remove the slave from the bracket.

Nah that one has already been on and off once.

that one thats been off and on failed last september warren,was just making sure, replaced the slave but had to use the old bracket as it didnt arrive in time,cant afford to not have the car running at the moment.
