Well done ! I'm very interested in the retrimming of the boot.
Any details on that ?

Just bought some spray on carpet glue and some acoustic carpet from eBay for £6. It's a pain stretching it so that it fits snug and then spray on the glue leave for a few mins then carefully fit the carpet on. Very pleased with the result. Just got to sort the back of the seats now as they're still grey

Cheers for the comments, also did a mod on the clutch pedal to make it adjustable on height, got quite a few other bits planned to. Took me a while finding the right car been looking for a decent diesel for nearly a year. Its got all mg rover dearer servicing and has even had the belts done twice. Will be even more or a corker once its finished

Looks and sounds like a lot of hard work done already.

Are fun cars and economical, if you can leave playing around with the engine,

I don't see climate control on that list ;)

definitely not! reason i bought this car was i wanted the first of the mk11s so it has better build quality and doesnt have the stupid electronic system which mk2s have. no bcu problems for me. best looks, most reliable spec, best built

as its not a fast toy it wont be having those fitted, i'll leave the speed to my other zeds ;)

well thats the plan which probably wont happen!

What about heated seats and parking sensors?

I reckon it does have a bcu mate.

hmm i was under the impression that this did not. i'll have a look in the week then. it does have a standard heater resistor which is a bonus as you cant get the climate ones for love nor money now

The easy way to tell is the fob, if it is rectangular with 2 buttons then it's pre bcu, egg shaped with the mg badge in the middle is bcu.

Was the TF handbrake a direct swap of was there some modifying to do?

No it wasn't that hard. Heated up the tf one so it could come off then had to hacksaw the zs one to get that off. I put a bit of padding to make it snug and fits fine. So much better than the zs one

The 2 statments don't follow, you can go climate without denigating build quality.

Just seen you've fitted the same headunit as mine, but I have the Android version.
Do you have some issue with the radio reception ? Does the sound seems to go up and down sometimes ?

And last question, do you think there is a module available to use the OE steering controls with ?

Does it have an input for steering wheel remote?

Does it have an input for steering wheel remote?

There is a brown wire on the ISO connector, named "OE remote" with no plug at its end.

Have a look at the fitting instructions which should tell you what it's for, if it is steering wheel remote then you'll need the correct interface.
