Yesterday my dad took me to a vision Motorsport track event where we got to drive some nice tasty cars.
We had 5 cars we drove with 3 laps in each and then 2 hot laps being taken round track via the rally driver in the supercharged Atom.

First up was a 2010 Gallardo in yellow which was great fun, power was amazing but did feel quite heavy.

2nd was a Ferrari 360 in red, god these things are very point and squirt and found that although slower than the Lambo you carried more speed through the bends and just felt more lively.

3rd was a more sedate drive in the 2010 Aston V8 Vantage. Was ok but really had to work to get the power out of it and felt soo heavy in comparison to all the others but was lovely inside. Proper GT car that one.

4th was my favourite, a 09 Porsche 911 GT3. This felt amazing. Was just constantly pushing you to go faster and push harder all the way round.
Also very tail happy on the limits, they nicknamed it (the widow maker) can honestly see why but god was so track focused it was awesome.

Then finally an Audi R8 V8 fsi. Was a mix of Lambo and 360 in terms of feel but had too many electronics stopping it from giving it the beans where as in the others they really encouraged you to push it hard.

The the hot laps in the Atom.!
I have never been in anything that accelerates in such a violent and excessive manor. It was MENTAL! The charger was screaming in your ear and god the guy could drive it, pushing it harder corner after corner and then showed us how it does 0-100-0 in under 10 seconds. That was something else.
What a toy is all I can say about that.

Will upload some pics later when I can get p.b to play ball with me.

Great day with BIG grins was had by all.

Sounded fun, definitely something you will remember forever.

911 GT3 was a surprise best of the day, wonder what its like in the wet, assuming you had a dry track.

:hooray::hooray::hooray::hooray: :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Definitely will Pete. Well the track was damp and greasy when we started out but did dry off by the time the Porsche came round to us.

Yes in the wet I assume their nickname is rather apt as it was very focussing even in the dry :D

Would love to have driven that but being a passenger was still a big buzz and rush. It was just bang on and didn't take prisoners. The Ferrari was out on a hot lap and it took it like it was standing still. Round track, no contest but flat out would be a different matter.

Epic machine :)
