But it won't as MG have said no...

Why the guy can't do it without MG backing is beyond me though... (The homologation bit I guess.)

Also. That mock up is not an MG 3 its a badly Photoshopped Ford Fiesta...

I did have the feeling it wouldn't happen. The MG brand and marketplace has changed and personally don't think they feel the need to be involved in motorsport projects. Also with the brand only having a privateer team there's always the worry it will not perform, reflecting badly on the marque.

It's like Kia and their motorsport involvement.

IIRC its down to money and advertising, plus Tesco paid for the BTCC cars :) so basically free advertising for MG there...

There was talk earlier in the year of MG running in the WRC but then all went quiet. I heard people I know had been approached to do a build, but heard nothing since.
