The time has come for me to part ways with the Zed, it's been fun but I now have a shiny new Merc on it's way through a work purchase scheme. It's far from perfect but at the same time is too good to scrap so hopefully it can be found a nice new home.

I don't need to sell the model on here as we all appreciate the cars handling, being the 1.8l K Series this doesn't have the power of a 180 but it can still move when needed. I've owned the car for 3 years and have maintained it myself so the service book hasn't been stamped but I do have a folder of receipts for various parts and service items. The car had suffered from HGF in the past and the garage I bought it from carried out the repair work, including a reinforced head gasket, new water pump and belts, just before selling (approx 60,000 miles). The current mileage is just shy of 90k, taxed until the end of April and MOT till mid April.

It has had the following fitted in the last 2 years:

Plastic inlet manifold replaced with metal unit from Lotus Elise
K&N panel filter
New alternator
New battery
Refurbished rear brake calipers (one wheel was also refurbished after one of the replacement calipers sprung a leak, this was replaced)
Front CV joints
Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs just fitted
Heko wind deflectors just fitted
Leather steering wheel
McGuard locking wheel nuts
MG branded Richbrook gear knob
All 4 tyres have been replaced during my ownership and all have good tread

The car drives really well but, like many others, has a few niggles that I have been meaning to fix but never got round to:

The drivers seat bolster has split slightly
There are some small dents and scratches on the exterior, although nothing unexpected from a 13 year old car
It occasionally suffers from clutch judder, especially when it is cold and damp
There is a blow from the flexi joint on the rear cat. I do, however, have a replacement unit that can be fitted if the car goes for the right price

The car still drives really well and cleans up Ok but, as I've already said, is still too good for scrapping or breaking. It looks black in the pictures but is the anthracite paint (LQW) so seems to shift from blue to grey to black depending on the light.

I am looking for £600 or near offer, some exterior pics below and I'll add some more later.
