...I'm also after a pair of boot springs for the ZS, mine have failed completely so could do with a good set that preferably hold the boot in the fully up position!

Can't believe they are almost £55 each new!

(They're for the large spoiler)

Am I right in saying that there are two different types of torsion bars available for the saloon bootlid? One set for the large rear wing and a set for without the rear wing? Going by Rimmers there are two different types?

Looks like you are right bra. Looks to be half a dozen variants of #8 available.

Wasn't there a way of fixing the boot not staying open thing? Am sure it tightened it up to a degree?

You can adjust the tension of the springs slightly by moving them on to the second set of stops.

I still have the boot lid problem - I've moved the bars but the boot lid is still floppy and sometimes doesn't even open if the rubber has stuck together...

Interesting !

I have fitted the extreme spoiler recently, not a factory option on mine.
I have adjusted the bars to the second position as well but it didn't change anything, the boot lid sticks when I press the open button, but doesn't fall when fully opened.

Should I find another torsion bars for the large spoiler ?

Yours does what mine does and it had the spoiler fitted from the factory.

Mines parts label has been ripped off but you can see where it was, about in the centre of one of the bars where they cross over.

Except pre project drive cars that only have one slot.

Haven't people used gas struts to deal with this too ?

Wasn't all that successful as far as I can remember. A fella over XPF had a stab at it I think.

I'll order some new ones I think and be done with it. Might order new brackets off Rimmers as well for the benefit of having the second slot
