My MG ZS 2L TD is back up for sale, she is as trophy yellow MK1 2L TD with modifications, she has been converted to a MK2 ZS. She has done over 105,000 miles this will not go up by much as she does not get used a lot. She has had a lot done to her since my ownership. The engine has had a remap by Matt Reidy and is putting out 160bhp (she pulls like a rocket). She has a stainless steel turbo outlet pipe, Roose motorsport yellow boost hoses, Green Cotton cone air filter, Digimafam, SDI injectors, EGR valve blanked off, Boost gauge fitted running 19/20 psi, full dual exit stainless steel exhaust system. The downpipe and decat were done by Powerflo and from the cat back was done by Longlife (which the guarantee is transferrable). She has the full ZS 180 brake set up with stainless steel braided brake lines. The ZS is one of the higher spec models she comes with reverse parking sensors, air con, sunroof, fog lights, electric windows front and rear, heated seats, rear headrests. All the seat covers were replaced about two years ago with new ones. The interior has the MK2 dashboard with black oak and chrome trim.
She had part service history when I got her and some paperwork, since owning her she has been serviced every year. She has a JVC head unit, Vibe black air subwoofer and 12 disc JVC cd auto changer. Mot expiry date is 05/09/2014 and Tax expiry date is 31/07/2014. The cam belts on the car have now been replaced in Feb, the alloy wheels have now been refurbished in black gloss and the leaking power steering hose is being replaced on Saturday.
The only negative points of the car is headlight washer jets do not work, air con needs re-gassing, stone chips on the front bonnet, age related marks, slight bubbling of paint on the left rear quarter and slight colour difference of paint work between the MK2 parts and the original paint work.
I have dropped the price to £1,800.00 but I am open to sensible offers. Any questions please pm me.

It's the bottom corner of the rear window, on the lh side.

It is pretty random yes, it's not one of the known areas susceptible to rust.

My boot has remained dry through all the rain we have had over the last six months so would assume the rust damage is not to bad?.

Hi,
Nice diesel ZS you have there. Very unique.
Shame about the little rust spot however what I would say to any potential buyer is at least its been mentioned and is out in the open. It is very very difficult to find an MG these days completely problem or blemish free so if you can find one with an issue as minor as this you are doing well. A quick trip to a body shop and its sorted... could even use it as an excuse to get the bumper color matched at the same time and then as far as I can see the car would be perfect.

Good luck with the sale.

It doesn't look as if it has gone under the screen seal, I think if you stripped it back to bare metal to clean up any hidden damage, then did a localised paint repair it would be pretty invisible, if required a decent screen fitter could remove the rear screen, and rebond it afterwards.

Cheers she is a good one a lot of time and effort has gone in to getting her where she is today, only couple minor bad points on the car that can easily be sorted.
