These are multifit and were on Mat C's car when I picked it up. As my tyres are in great shape too, one set had to go!

They have 2 Falkens which are nearly new condition and 2 Khumos that have been on the car longer so more worn but plenty of legal tread as can be seen in the photos.

The were resprayed but do have some slight kerbing on two of the wheels again, shown in the pictures.

Looking for around the £200 mark but open to any sensible offer.

The do fill the arches well!

What were they like compaired to the 17 inchers? With bumps and the like?

Iv always liked these alloys!, shame they wont fit the exeo. And i dont have a ZS to put them on yet.

Good luck with the sale,

And if it helps the sale, i could take them to Pol if any buyer wishes.

Cheers Stephen. To be honest, I didn't notice much difference between the 18s and 17s ride wise. The ZS suspension is stiff either way! The tyres are lower profile so I guess the will absorb less but as I say, didn't really notice.

There are times when I miss my 18s, good price and very tempted but I must resist! surprised Dan hasn't bought them! ;) More than happy with my Pro-Race 1.2s now my suspension has now been set since before Goodwood, no more rubbing :D

The 17s that are on my silver Mk2 are much better ... IMHO. No offence Smokey.

None taken. I love the wheels but can't justify 2 sets.

Note taken. I love the wheels but can't justify 2 sets.

Put some full on racing slicks on them for the track.

I like them too, but can't justify another set of wheels.

I'm very tempted but not sure how to get them to Sussex without spending loads more.

Paisley Freight do good prices for wheels

If I could get rid of one of my spare sets I would have snapped these up but a spare room full of wheels is not going down well as it is.

they do look good (and a good price) but im concerned they may have a detrimental effect on handling and ride comfort. I know going from 205/45 to 215/40 has made the ride feel more crashy. Less tyre wall and more rubber on the road.

I drove from Healing to Dundee on a variety of roads and didn't really notice a difference. But then I was just too busy smiling as usual!

I can honestly state that in my time with them they made no noticeable effect on the handling. Smokey is asking a fantastic price for them as the 2 Falkens were only fitted in January for more than his asking price for the full set! And in that time from fitment to selling I only covered a couple of hundred miles or so in it!

Very very tempted - what are the size and offset of the wheel and size of the tyres fitted?

Mat C
05-04-14, 12:37 AM
215/35/18. Standard offset.

And do they work with standard wheel nuts?

Smokey
05-04-14, 10:42 AM
No, they were on with tuner nuts. I still have them albeit they are very rusty. Functional but not aesthetically pleasing lol.

Thanks for sorting that, they arrived at work on Friday but TBH it was a bit mad so I didn't have a chance to unwrap them.

Do we know the paint code for the colour so I can get some touch up paint?

Mat C
19-04-14, 10:36 AM
They were powder coated, so no paint code available.

talkingcars
19-04-14, 10:40 AM
What colour - I'm not up on powder coating so I guess they just offer colours i.e. pink, crimsion etc.

Mat C
20-04-14, 11:06 AM
Dunno, i just liked a wheel they had on show and chose it!!

talkingcars
20-04-14, 08:06 PM
Sounds like the sort of I'd do, where did you get them done?

Mat C
20-04-14, 11:52 PM
local gaff, it was 7 years ago dude! Powder coating isn't paint, there's no code as such - a one time hit, no batch!

petet16
21-04-14, 10:10 AM
Mine are a very similar colour, also powder coated, the colour was called Anthracite, but as stated above no colour code, or batch number, to touch in any scuffs I mixed some gloss black and silver paint to give as close a match as possible, then blew some clear lacquer over to seal it.

Cheers Mat and Pete, I've not studied them yet but I guess I'll be doing something similar.
