Afternoon Fellas,

All of my caliper bolts have been over tightened by a idiot previous owner, I have managed to get them all out with an easy out socket set which has obviously chewed the bolt heads to bits so now I need some more bolts.

I need the front caliper to hub bolts (17mm) x 4, front slide pin bolts (12mm) x4, rear caliper to hub bolts (14mm) x 4 and rear slide pin bolts (12mm) x 4.

Can anyone help me with this?

Anthony.

Should be able to but you'd probably be best buying new?

Bizarrely, none of the bolts are available separately new, only as part of the oe brake pad kits.

It's a pain in the ass to buy new to be honest. I contacted Rimmers and they don't sell the bolts individually, there's none in the scrap yards local to me, and they're also a fine threaded type of bolt and I've got no way of measuring the pitch of thread etc so I can't even order any specially!

The pitch is no problem, the bolts are metric fine which is 1.25mm pitch.

I'll have to have a look when I get home. I think the caliper to hub bolts are M10?

As I say, should be able to help out (both Rears came off no issue as I grease the sliders every 6 months) fronts should be good too though.

Yeah, M10 sounds right for the caliper to hub bolts.

Thanks fellas, Smokey let me know if you can supply with a price etc. I couldn't believe how tight they were. I needed a torque wrench and over 100nm to get the slide pin bolts out!

Previous owner had a torque wrench with one setting I reckon, 'kin tight doubled.

I always cut my hand on the dust guard on first rotation. You'd think I'd learn!
