econ mode

Got in the car , switched on the air con. Drove a while and hit the auto button... kept driving and I'm like feck it's hot In here. Noticed the econ flashing , ever seen it before or knew what it did , switched air con on and off loads of times and wouldn't go away.. windows down , sweating my arse off in 33 degree heat with the sun at the side of my face.

Got home and quick Google search .... never knew about that mode changes it to fans only

Lesson learnt not to press it too much :)

ECON blinks when aircon is needed to drop the temperature at the desired value.

Never seen it before , pressed the auto button twice and the pump kicked in , cool air

Double press it again and warm air comes out and the compressor switches off

It will put everything to full auto for climate control when you first press it, if you take fans or vent direction onto manual control if you press it again aircon stays on, but climate control goes back to auto, press auto again and your into economy mode with no aircon on. Djules correctly states as to why it flashes.......probably most the time with yourself out there :D

Yea I know the auto functions and manual control of fans and zones but didnt know about the fan only mode which is what I'm trying to get across..
