So I got myself a new claybar kit and sealant, shampoo and all the bits and bobs required to bring my paintwork back up to speed of how it should look when given a clean.

first ever claybar the car has had from the texture of the body panels.

hope yous enjoy and I like to think this is my forte rather than engines.

I used bog standard car shampoo + Micro Fibre mit

Tar remover on lower sideskirts and bumpers

Meguires Claybar

Demon Shine spray on shine with Water (1:2 ratio with claybar)

Meguires spray on sealant

Turtle Wax Ultra High Gloss HD Wax (£6 from ebay)

That's come up really well.

I tried the Demon Shine foam, but wasn't that impressed with it, the instructions say to wet the car first but I think it might work better applied to a dry car.

from the adverts they looks really good and cover the car well,

but I cant really see what it would offer a car more than a microfibre mit and hot water shampoo

Yeah, it was after seeing the adverts that I decided to try it, and being a bit of a newb to all this foaming business it seemed a good place to start, I'm going to try it with the car dry next time and see if works any better.

Nice - Seeing the wheels and grills together though makes me think that either wheels should be black, or the grills should be graphite - if you know what I mean. Came up really nice though ....
