Hi mate, yeah sounds good, I picked one up today but its push fit where as I need a screw fit so if yours is screw let me know the postage and i'll get it over.

Its a push fit. Had to take the one off my Mk2 to check it was a Mk1 and wouldn't fit.

Wrap the top of the stick with insulation tape.

Personally i wouldn't bodge it with tape. The last thing you want is your knob flying off at a critical moment.

Personally i wouldn't bodge it with tape. The last thing you want is your knob flying off at a critical moment.
All my cars have tape around the thread increasing the diameter of the lever, only problem is that the knobs turn more easily than I'd like.
