Did the saloon mk2 come with a lining on the inside of the bootlid?
One I bought recently and my previous one didn't have any. Just wondering if I can get one to tidy it up a bit.

Neither the one on my car or the spare have a liner, could be project drive though?

Not project drive, none of them ever had a lining in the bootlid

That's a shame, wouldn't be too hard to carpet over I guess.

The R600 had some funky boot trims, I was tempted to see if it would fit.

Do you feel the need to make the environment for your kidnap victims better ... ?

Just muffled their screams and bangs on the bootlid.

The Rover 400 didn't come with one either...

The Rover 600 one is a different shape and when I tried was going to take a lot of work to fit for minimal effect, although I'm not a trimmer so might be different for someone else I guess. I suggest would be better to custom build something onto the boot lid if that's what you want.

As for "kidnap" victims... I would be more worried about the stupid design of the boot hinges that would smash their skulls when you slam the boot... I've often wondered about swapping the hinges for something more streamlined and hidden like most other saloon boots that would give more usable storage space... but never got further than the thinking stage. :fun:

A liner in the lid might cut down on the amount of condensation that forms on the inside.
