Agreed - nice and pretty rare colour.

I'm nearly 50 so no mods will be done. I will however be getting it totally re-sprayed at some point. I always wanted one for some strange reason. I have been all over France in it, and not so much as a bulb has blown. I like it!
That is fair enough, never too old /young but have your car the way you want it. Excellent you will be keeping her as mint as possible, paint looks good in that picture but I appreciate it is a wee one and they can hide sins well.
Like the travelling, something I hope to do at some point. Some have issues but as yours shows it is not the rule, sounds like you have a good one.
I think the guy who owned it before spent a lot on it to iron the faults out. I just had a cambelt changed and a full service done. The only issue is the really high clutch pedal, due to the master cylinder needs replacing. The clutch itself is fine. There's a few scratches and minor dings as expected. But he (Midge) drives superbly!

Hope this works! ;)

A high clutch is standard, maybe not as high as yours though. There is a kit for the V6's that helps this a bit as well as improving the whole clutch hydraulics but not sure if it's available for the K4's.

Hey! Nothing wrong with that! :D No rules on here with regards being too old for any of that ;)
Good to hear it's been good for you, mine's been pretty reliable in 10 years, only had a couple of issues that required recovery, seized caliper, failed clutch slave and dodgy starter.
Nice clean car you've got there!

Mate, I'm 44 and have changed every one of the ZSs I've owned to some degree. Just thought to myself - I want it to look like this - or - I fancy a full leather interior - etc etc. None have turned into boy racer of chav cars. I've recently bought a 330 coupe and have already changed the front grills and had the windows tinted at the rear.
A few guys with mk1's like yours would maybe look to fit front fogs. Maybe change the wheels from your 16s to 17 inch straights. Maybe change the headlight units from the MG orange indicators to the units from the R45 which have clear lenses for the indicator. Nothing silly, just subtle changes that the owner feels improves the look or feel of their car and makes it their own.
Choosing to keep it standard and original also has it's fans though and fair play for doing so...
I agree about the personal thing. There would be none left in the original state though, if everyone changed subtle bits!

Very tidy, good to see better pics of it. You keep it very well, looks almost new not over ten years old, that's for sure :)

Looking good pal :)
Cheers guys, but there are numerous ripples and scratches. They don't come out on the pics. But he's 13 this year and looks well though.
